Thermistor

A thermistor is a temperature-sensitive semiconductor resistor whose resistance changes significantly with temperature. It is used for temperature sensing, control, and compensation in electronic and industrial systems. Thermistors are commonly classified as NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient), where resistance decreases with rising temperature, and PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient), where resistance increases with temperature. Typical technical features include high sensitivity, fast response time, compact size, defined resistance values at 25 °C, and suitability for applications such as temperature monitoring, inrush current limiting, and circuit protection.
