Shrouds

Shrouds used in control panels are insulating protective covers designed to shield live electrical terminals, busbars, and connection points from accidental contact. They enhance operator safety, prevent short circuits caused by dust or foreign objects, and improve overall panel reliability. Typical technical characteristics include manufacture from high-grade insulating materials such as polycarbonate or PVC, high dielectric strength, flame-retardant properties, custom or standard sizing to suit terminals and busbars, and suitability for use in low- and medium-voltage control panels.
