RTD

An RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) is a precision temperature sensor that measures temperature based on the predictable change in electrical resistance of a metal element, typically platinum. It provides high accuracy, stability, and repeatability, making it suitable for industrial process control, laboratories, and HVAC systems. Common technical characteristics include standard types such as Pt100 or Pt1000, a near-linear resistance–temperature relationship, operating temperature ranges typically from –200 °C to 600 °C, and availability in 2-wire, 3-wire, or 4-wire configurations for accurate measurement in control and instrumentation applications.
