OIL Starter

An oil starter is an electromechanical motor starting device used for controlling and protecting slip-ring induction motors in heavy industrial applications. It operates by gradually cutting out external rotor resistance immersed in oil, which helps limit starting current while providing high starting torque. Typical technical features include oil-immersed resistance banks for effective heat dissipation, stepwise or automatic resistance elimination, heavy-duty contact mechanisms, compatibility with high-power motors, robust enclosures, and provisions for thermal and short-circuit protection, making it suitable for crushers, hoists, compressors, and other high-inertia loads.
