Infrared Thermometer

An infrared thermometer is a non-contact temperature measuring device used in domestic and industrial applications to quickly and safely measure surface temperatures. Common market specifications include a temperature range of approximately –50°C to 500°C (higher for industrial models), accuracy of about ±1–2°C, distance-to-spot ratios such as 8:1 to 30:1, fixed or adjustable emissivity (typically up to 0.95), fast response time below 500 ms, laser targeting for precise aiming, and a backlit digital display with °C/°F selection.
