Glass Relay
A glass relay is a miniature electromechanical relay housed in a hermetically sealed transparent glass envelope, designed for reliable switching of low-power and signal-level circuits. It operates using an electromagnetic coil that actuates ferromagnetic contacts, providing fast response, low contact resistance, and high insulation strength. Common technical characteristics include coil voltages such as 5 V, 12 V, and 24 V DC, contact configurations like SPDT or DPDT, contact ratings typically up to 1–5 A, and excellent electrical isolation, making it suitable for instrumentation, control systems, telecom, and industrial electronics applications.
