G.I. Plates
G.I. plates (Galvanized Iron plates) are flat steel plates coated with a protective zinc layer to enhance corrosion resistance and durability. They are widely used in electrical and industrial applications such as earthing systems, fabrication work, structural supports, and equipment mounting. In grounding applications, G.I. plates serve as earth electrodes to provide effective fault current dissipation. Typical technical characteristics include good mechanical strength, uniform galvanization for rust protection, ease of machining and installation, long service life, and suitability for outdoor and harsh environmental conditions.
